Janice Shipp currently manages ILL and GIL Express activity for the Savannah State University community in Savannah, Georgia. Before that, she was the ILL Coordinator for Savannah College of Art and Design. Janice was the Georgia Library Association’s (GLA) ILL Interest Group’s Vice-Chair in 2015, and Chair in 2016. As chair, Janice collaborated and participated on the review committee to revise the ILL Code for Georgia, which had not been revised since 2002. She also coordinated the “ILL Overview Workshop” which took place in November 2016. The workshop was created to help ILL newbies, and ILL staff supervisors have a better understanding of ILL basic best practices. She also was a co-presenter at the Coastal Georgia Library Collaborative Meet-up in September 2018: “Interlibrary Loan Copyright Basics” and at the 2018 Georgia Libraries Conference: “The Secret to Organizing and Maintaining a Successful Networking Group.” Janice loves singing, crocheting, & living life!
