This presentation will focus on the capabilities of the OpenURL standard and how it can save your patrons time when requesting items. During this presentation, attendees will learn (1) what OpenURL is, (2) how databases and link resolvers use OpenURL to transmit requests between providers, (3) how to decode OpenURL syntax, and (4) how to modify OpenURL strings to make custom services for your patrons.
